Teen Found Dead In Oakland Co. Pond After Running From Cops: Reports

WHITE LAKE TOWNSHIP, MI — The body of a 16-year-old boy was pulled from an Oakland County pond Sunday night, hours after the teen ran away from officers, according to multiple reports citing police.

Police said officials found the teen's body in a small pond at 10 p.m. in the area of Highland Road and Maple Heights Drive in White Lake Township, according to reports.

Police said officers caught the teen and another person (whom police didn't identify) earlier Sunday climbing down from the roof at a nearby Tractor Supply Co. store where an alarm was going off, according to reports.

The suspects the ran away from the scene, according to reports.

Police said the unidentified suspect was arrested in connection to the incident later Sunday, but the teen suspect was still missing after running into a nearby wooded area, according to reports.
