Having
grown up on a cattle farm, riding horses in the rural “thumb” area of Michigan,
Ankley is what music is all about. She is a true American farmer’s daughter,
granddaughter and great granddaughter who loves to perform, sing and write songs
who has names like Tubbs, Babcock and Tremble in the family. It’s no wonder
country music is in her blood.
She
has an impressive résumé
of honors, including winning two Outstanding Detroit Music Awards, garnering
12 nominations as well over the years. She also was one of the top three in
Nashville’s Chris Austin Songwriting Contest and HomeAid of America, which
builds homes for the homeless, has selected her video and song to represent
their company nationwide.
