Walled Lake Northern Sweeps Lady Eagles in Battle of Bogie Lake
Lakeland softball loses first game 4-3; and second game 10-4.
The Walled Lake Northern softball team swept the Lakeland Lady Eagles in a KLAA doubleheader to win the Battle of Bogie Lake on Wednesday.
Lakeland lost a 4-3 heart-breaker in nine innings in the first game, it was a pitchers' duel.
Northern jumped out to a quick 2-0 lead in the first inning. The Eagles came back to tie the game in the third inning at 2-2.

Lakeland's Michelle Stiltner retired 14 batters in a row at one point.
In the nightcap, the Eagles tied the score at 3-3 in the third inning with Jessica McNabb's RBI single and Kelsey Cleary's sacrifice bunt. The Knights broke the game open in the sixth inning for the 10-4 win.

Lakeland's record goes to 4-2 in the KLAA, and 10-4 overall.
