Fracking Town Halls
Commissioner Nash, with support from WRC staff, has been holding town hall meetings across Oakland County for the past year and a half, in order to provide residents and stakeholders information on oil & gas exploration and drilling, including “fracking”, or horizontal hydraulic fracturing.
Oil and gas companies are ramping up their efforts in our county and residents are rightly concerned about risks to the environment, including our water resources. These town hall meetings are held monthly, in townships and cities spread geographically around our county.
