The manager of the store, 2931 Fort St., told Wyandotte police that the men entered the store separately at about 4:45 p.m., and began to fill carts with pop, candy and other merchandise. After the men finished their “shopping,” they left the store without paying for the items, the report stated.

Because it happened during a store shift change, the thefts weren’t noticed until inventory was done July 31, the report stated. In fact, the store manager told police that he thought the same two men tried another ill-gotten goods spree July 31 but were scared away.
