Breaking Barriers in STEM Fields
UM-Dearborn's efforts to recruit female engineering and IT students.

Dr. Ghassan Kridli, professor of Industrial and Manufacturing Systems Engineering at UM-Dearborn, detailed his department’s efforts to recruit female engineering and IT students last evening at the AAUW Wyandotte-Downriver branch’s April meeting. Professor Kridli teaches Industrial & Manufacturing Systems Engineering and is well known and respected by colleagues and students alike for his efforts to recruit, encourage and mentor women students and faculty in a field where women are underrepresented. He has also distinguished himself by his outreach activities in support of the principles of inclusion and the promotion of women in STEM fields.
Our branch meets periodically at the DeSana Center for Arts on Chestnut Street in Wyandotte.
