Call for Directors for Summer Random Acts of Theatre Program
Applications, open to residents of Dearborn and surrounding communities, require a one-act scene and are due April 12.

The Dearborn Area Theatre Association requires a scene no longer than 20 minutes in its call for directors for the 2015 Random Acts of Theatre performances that will be held as part of the Summer Arts Academy, Sept. 11-12, at the Ford Community & Performing Arts Center.
The Summer Arts Academy offers art, music and theater programs for children and adults through the city of Dearborn’s Department of Recreation and Parks.

Random Acts of Theatre is a collaborative evening of performance that showcases many accomplished and skilled actors from Dearborn and surrounding communities during an intimate “in the round” performance that allows the audience to sit on the main stage.
Designed as a way to engage as many talented directors, actors and production staff as possible, Random Acts of Theatre features a variety of one-act plays and Reader’s Theatre in a two-hour time frame.
Applications from directors – due April 12 – are found online, and positions are open to residents of Dearborn and surrounding community residents. Calls for actors and the technical crew will be announced later.
Director interviews begin April 13 at the Ford Community and Performing Arts Center.
Random Acts of Theatre, the Dearborn Area Theatre Association and the Summer Arts Academy receive financial support from the Dearborn Community Fund.
