FOX 2 Anchor Sherry Margolis to M.C. Harvest Moon Ball: Oct. 24

WYANDOTTE – Emmy award-winning anchor Sherry Margolis will be the M.C. at the 7th Annual Harvest Moon Ball, which benefits the emergency department at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital.

The event will be held 6:30 – 11p.m. Friday, Oct. 24 at the MGM Grand Hotel.

Margolis co-anchors FOX 2 News “Live at Eleven” and FOX 2 News at 5:30 p.m. She has won two regional Emmy awards for Best Anchor from the Michigan chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.

The evening at Harvest Moon Ball will include cocktails, dinner, live entertainment provided by Intrigue and package raffles.

The funds generated from this year’s event will support improvements in the emergency department at Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital. The department wants to provide a quieter environment for its critical care patients, as well as treat its less critical patients faster. This would include some structural changes in the department.

At the 7th Harvest Moon Ball, cocktails, hors d’oeuvres and package raffle will begin at 6:30 p.m., followed by dinner at 7:15 p.m. Remarks and awards will start at 8:15 p.m.

This year’s awards are:
• The Rosie Meyer Community Volunteer Award: Henry Ford Wyandotte Hospital Auxiliary
• The BASF Community Leadership Award: Peter and Janelle Rose (Woodhaven)
• Joseph L. Cahalan Physician Star of Excellence Award: Shehadeh Harb, M.D. (Grosse Ile)
