Frozen lips and fingertips ...

…. may be happening, but, the lack of frozen precip on sidewalks and roads makes all well in the walking world. I’m making steady progress with only 50 more miles to go until I get to 700 miles; then I rest on my laurels and end 2015. Rain spoiled my Tuesday morning, but it wasn’t ice and snow, so I’ll take a glass-half-full attitude these days. The sun is pokey getting up and this morning it didn’t even bother to rise and shine. I did though and piling on all the extra clothes had me scurrying out the door later than I’d like. As to frozen lips, well … I guess I don’t really need to crack a smile and can just mumble good morning if someone, other than a squirrel, crosses my path and wants to communicate with me. The frozen fingers aren’t so wonderful if you’re trying to take a picture though. I toted along the camera today, even though the sky was dark and dreary looking , but I made the Detroit River at Emmons and Biddle my destination, so who knows what I might have seen down there? As it turns out – there was nothing. There’s not much allure on the water in Michigan come December, even a mild one like what we are enjoying. I saw more homeowners have added Christmas critters to their front yards and the strings of miniature lights that were still lit twinkled brightly like stars in the gray sky … they were like mini beacons beckoning me to keep going and persevere, so feet don’t fail me now.
