Library Friends Group Commemorates 75th Anniversary of 'Gone with the Wind'

Local historian known for her expertise on epic based on Margaret Mitchell's sweeping Pulitzer Prize-winning novel will lead discussion.

The Friends of the Library Dearborn will host “Gone with the Wind” expert Kathleen Marcaccio on Tuesday, Nov. 4 to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the release of the iconic movie.

The public is invited to the Henry Ford Centennial Library, 16301 Michigan Ave., at 7 p.m. to listen to Marcaccio speak about “Gone with the Wind” author Margaret Mitchell, Mitchell’s Pulitzer Prize-winning book, and the accompanying 1939 movie.

Known for her “Gone with the Wind “expertise, Marcaccio is a local historian who has given a number of presentations at libraries, museums, and events throughout the region and the United States.

She will bring a selection of vintage and contemporary memorabilia for visitors to peruse and enjoy before and after the program.

Light refreshments will follow Marcaccio’s presentation.
