The trials and tribulations of adolescence will be portrayed by local student actors in a production from PS Center Stage Players called "Class Action" written by Brad Slaight. It features a series of scenes and monologues, compelling and humorous, exploring the complexities of high school life.
The show covers a wide variety of contemporary subjects, both serious and light hearted, that audiences of any age can relate to. Among the many subjects are: prom night, home work, alcoholism, teen pregnancy, detention, teen idols, peer pressure and class elections.
The show is interactive and a lunch/dinner will be provided by our hilarious lunch ladies! Recess time will be available for our younger viewers during the more serious subjects.Slaight is a Michigan native, writer, actor, comedian, and former Michigan high school teacher. Class Action is one of a series of shows that deals with high school students. PS Center Stage Players proudly performed another of his works, "Second Class", last summer to delighted and impressed audiences.
The show is one day only and will be performed twice on Saturday, August 3 at 1:00 and 6:00 at the First United Methodist Church, 72 Oak Street in Wyandotte. Tickets are $10 for seniors and students and $15 for everyone else. Ticket price includes lunch/dinner.
