Allegedly desperate for a disguise, suspect had shaved a wide swath of hair when police caught up with him in alleged pickaxe attack.

One of two suspects accused in an attack on a western Michigan man with a pickaxe and baseball bat in a dispute over a girl was frantically trying to shave his head to alter his appearance when arrested Thursday, authorities said.

Codi James Antoniello, 19, and a 16-year-old male were arrested in an apartment complex in Holland Township Thursday for their alleged involvement in an attack on a 21-year-old man, also from Holland Township, who sustained injuries to his face and head.
The dispute apparently started on Facebook, WOOD-TV reports. Ottawa County Sheriff’s officials said one of the suspects is dating a former girlfriend of the victim. About 2:30 a.m. Wednesday, the suspects allegedly went to the victim’s home and began to attack him.

When the two were arrested Thursday, Antoniello had shaved a large swath of hair, police said.
He was formally charged with felonious assault and first-degree home invasion during his arraignment Friday. The 16-year-old is in the custody of juvenile authorities and is expected to be charged as an adult.
The victim’s father called 911 after trying unsuccessfully to break up the fight, The Grand Rapids Press/MLive reports.
The victim was treated and released from the hospital and is said to be recovering.
