Wyandotte Artist, Wayne Co. College Team Up for New Comic Book Expo

The one-day Michigan Comic Book Expo is set for Sept. 26 at Wayne County Community College's Downriver campus.

A new comic book convention in Wayne County will make its debut this fall thanks to the work of a Wyandotte artist and a local community college.

Artist Tony Miello and Wayne County Community College will hold the one-day Michigan Comic Book Expo on Sept. 26 at the college’s Taylor campus, 21000 North Line Road, according to a News-Herald report.

The event will be free, and Miello is currently putting together programming, which will include vendor tables, space for local comics creators, panels and movie shorts, the report stated. The community college came up with the idea for a convention and reached out to Miello, who helped start the defunct Detroit Fanfare, report added.
