Wyandotte Flood of 2014: Free Residential Pickup for Flood-Damaged Items; How to File a Claim

Free pickup will be offered through Aug. 22; city announces special hours for drop off of flood-damaged items at no cost.

The city of Wyandotte is offering free trash pickup for items damaged in Monday’s flooding.

The free debris pickup continues through Aug. 22, and residents won’t be required to place the items in a container during the special pickup.

The city said on its web site that the city’s Department of Public Service will operate on a special 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. schedule through Aug. 15 to allow residents to dumpp storm-damaged items at no cost.
