5 Bodies Found In Duluth Home After Reported Mental Health Crisis
Five people and a dog were found dead inside a Duluth home Wednesday.
DULUTH, MN — Duluth police are investigating after five people and a dog were all found dead inside a home Wednesday. The bodies were discovered after police received a report of a man experiencing a mental health crisis, according to investigators.
Among the dead was the man who was reportedly in a mental health crisis.
The situation began in nearby Hermantown at about 11:30 a.m. when police there were asked to do a welfare check. Hermantown police were unable to find the person.

However, Hermantown police reached out to the Duluth Police Department with information that lead them to a home on the 700 block of East 12th Street.
"Due to the intelligence discovered, numerous law enforcement and public safety agencies responded to the scene," Duluth police said in a news release. "Officers had obtained information that the subject had access to weapons."

Following a "a methodical search of the premise," police were eventually able to enter the home, where they found the five bodies. All five are related.
Their identities will be released once the family is notified. Police did not reveal the cause of death.
Authorities said they aren’t seeking any suspects and there’s no threat to the public.
