8-Year-Old MN Boy Missing Since Thursday Evening

CASS LAKE, MN — State authorities are seeking the public's help in finding an 8-year-old boy who went missing from northern Minnesota's Cass Lake area.

Alfred Desjarlait III is 8 years old, 4 feet tall, and weighs 80 pounds, according to the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension. He was last seen wearing a black Timberland jacket, jeans, and multi-colored Puma shoes, authorities said.

At about 5:30 p.m. on Thursday, Desjarlait left on foot from a residence near the intersection of 140th Street Northwest and Wakonabo Drive Northwest in Cass Lake.

His direction of travel and destination was not known, according to investigators. Anyone with information on the boy's location is urged to call 911.
