Biden, Trump 'Virtually Tied' In MN: MinnPost Poll

The poll, published Wednesday, is in line with other surveys this year that show Donald Trump tied with President Joe Biden in Minnesota.

MINNESOTA — President Joe Biden is "virtually tied" with former President Donald Trump among Minnesota voters, according to a new poll from MinnPost and its partner, Embold Research.

Poll respondents favored Biden 45 percent to 42 percent over Trump, but that is within the poll’s 2.6 percent margin of error, MinnPost noted.

The poll, published Wednesday, is in line with other surveys from earlier this year that show Trump tied with Biden among Minnesota voters.

"What this means now is that Biden has to campaign here," Hamline University political science professor David Schultz told MinnPost.

"It also means the Biden campaign will have to deflect resources from other states, including the swing state of Wisconsin, to shore up support in Minnesota, a state that’s key to the Midwestern 'blue wall' the campaign needs to win the 2024 election."
