Body Found In St. Croix River Identified As 18-Year-Old Boy
The victim, D'Andrea Sanvig, fell into the river on April 11 and drowned, police said, citing the Midwest Medical Examiner's Office.

TAYLORS FALLS, MN — A body found floating in the St. Croix River south of Taylor Falls on Friday morning has been identified as that of an 18-year-old man, the Chisago County Sheriff's Office said.
The victim, D’Andrea Sanvig, fell into the river April 11 and drowned, the sheriff's office said, citing the Midwest Medical Examiner’s Office.
The body was found by a group of canoers, according to officials.

"Over the past month, extensive efforts have been put forth in an attempt to locate D’Andrea," the department wrote in a Facebook post. "We are grateful his family is able to move towards closure from this situation."
Sanvig had moved a year ago to live with his grandmother in Luck, Wisconsin, and was set to graduate from high school and complete training as an auto mechanic soon, his mother told the Star Tribune.

"... he was the bright light that lit up a room," she told the newspaper.
