Coronavirus: CDC Testing Possible Minnesota Case
The Minnesota Department of Health is awaiting test results for a possible new coronavirus case in the state.
MINNESOTA — The Minnesota Department of Health is awaiting test results for a possible case of the new coronavirus. It's the fourth possible Minnesota case that has been sent to the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention for testing.
All three previous cases tested negative, KSTP reports.
Hospitals, clinics, or other health care providers are suppose to call MDH about patients who may have COVID-19. While waiting for test results, the ill person is isolated to prevent others from getting sick.

"If at any point CDC testing were to confirm a case of COVID-19 in a Minnesota resident, the available details and protective recommendations would be shared with the patient, people who have been in close contact with the ill person, and the public as quickly as possible," states MDH.
