MINNEAPOLIS (WCCO) — In Minnesota, the first doses of Pfizer’s COVID-19 vaccine have officially been administered Tuesday morning at the Minneapolis VA hospital. The first to get the shot: a 10-year nurse at the hospital.

By Tuesday morning, the first vaccine was officially administered in Minnesota — nine months after the COVID-19 pandemic was declared. Thera Wittie, a 10-year nurse at the Minneapolis VA, was the first to received the vaccine.
