Vikings' Dalvin Cook Accused Of Physical Abuse In Lawsuit
Responding to the lawsuit, Dalvin Cook's own attorney claims he is being extorted by his ex-girlfriend.

INVER GROVE HEIGHTS, MN — A lawsuit filed in Dakota County Tuesday accuses Minnesota Vikings running back Dalvin Cook of physically abusing his ex-girlfriend.
Cook's own attorney claims he is being extorted for money.
Gracelyn Trimble, a Sgt. 1st Class in the U.S. Army, is seeking unspecified monetary damages from Cook "for giving me a concussion, leaving a scar on my face and taking me through hell," reports the Star Tribune.

The lawsuit claims that Cook, 26, attacked Trimble when she came to his Inver Grove Heights house on Nov. 19, 2020, to break up and get her things.

Cook's attorney claims Trimble is extorting him for millions of dollars.
"While Mr. Cook and Sgt. Trimble had a short term relationship over several months, she became emotionally abusive, physically aggressive and confrontational, and repeatedly attempted to provoke Mr. Cook," David Valentini, Cook's attorney, told the Star Tribune.
Valentini says Trimble entered Cook's house without his permission and maced Cook and two other people inside.
The Vikings released the following statement to FOX 9:
We recently received notification from Dalvin Cook’s legal representative regarding a situation that occurred between Dalvin and a female acquaintance in November 2020 and led to an ongoing dispute between the parties. Upon learning of this, we immediately notified the NFL. We are in the process of gathering more information and will withhold further comment at this time.
