Ex-Anoka School Teacher Convicted Of Criminal Sexual Conduct
The prison sentence in the case of a former Anoka teacher was announced by the court Wednesday.

ANOKA COUNTY, MN — A former Anoka middle school teacher was sentenced Thursday to 30 years in prison after pleading guilty to three counts of first-degree criminal sexual conduct.
Jefferson J. Fietek, 48, committed illegal sex acts with five minors between 2009 and 2019 while he was a teacher and acting in a position of authority, according to authorities. Fietek received the statutory maximum sentence for first-degree criminal sexual conduct and he will be required to register as a predatory offender.
Seven counts of criminal sexual conduct against Fietek were dismissed as part of the plea deal he agreed to. However, Fietek admitted to sexual acts with two other victims under questioning by Assistant Anoka County Attorney Beth Beaman in court.

"This outcome is in the best interest of those involved," Anoka County Attorney Tony Palumbo said in a news release.
"Fietek got the statutory maximum sentence. Given the sensitivity of the victims, coupled with potential extensive legal proceedings, we felt this was the best resolution to benefit the victims and obtain a punishment for the defendant."
