Ex-DFL County Chair Killed In Motorcycle Crash
Mark C. Halverson was killed while riding his motorcycle in Mankato on Saturday.
MANKATO, MN — Mark C. Halverson, a community activist who previously chaired the Democratic-Farmer-Labor Party in Blue Earth County, was killed in a motorcycle crash Saturday in Mankato.
Just before 4 p.m., a Chevrolet Silverado and Halverson's BMW Motorcycle collided at the intersection of 3rd Ave and the eastbound exit ramp of Highway 14, authorities said.
Conditions were dry at the time of the crash, and no alcohol was involved, according to the Minnesota State Patrol.

Halverson, 70, was wearing a helmet. He died at the scene.
