Fugitive Accused Of Child Sexual Abuse In MN Arrested In Michigan

MINNESOTA — A wanted fugitive accused of child sexual abuse in Minnesota was arrested by U.S. Marshals in Milan, Michigan on Tuesday.

William Guy Amick III, 36, is charged in Fillmore County District Court with 13 felony counts related to child sexual abuse. The incidents involve multiple victims between the ages of newborn and 7 years old, police said.

Amick was also a fugitive from Pennsylvania on an unrelated case of a similar nature, according to police.

"Amick is being held in the Washtenaw Co. (Mich.) Jail as he awaits extradition to Minnesota," the Minnesota Bureau of Criminal Apprehension said Wednesday. "An updated booking photo will be available once he is transferred to a Minnesota facility."

According to investigators, Amick lived in Mabel and Rushford, Minnesota for approximately two years until May 2023.

"His whereabouts since that time are unknown," the Minnesota Department of Public Safety on April 18, asking the public for tips. "Investigators believe Amick receives payments from people who support his online activities."
