WINONA, MN — The Winona Police Department on Monday released a statement in the search for Madeline (Maddi) Kingsbury, stating they are still "not prepared to identify a suspect or person of interest at this time."

Authorities continue to ask property owners in the counties of Winona, Fillmore, and Houston to walk their land and check outbuildings for anything unusual or out-of-place

Kingsbury, 26, hasn't been seen or heard from since dropping her kids off at daycare on the morning of March 31. She also did not show up for her job as a research coordinator at the Mayo Clinic.

Calls and messages from her sister and mother went unanswered that day. "All of this is extremely out of character for her," Winona police said.

Megan Kingsbury told FOX News she received a "goofy" text from her sister at 8:15 a.m. on the morning she went missing.

"We were chuckling about a funny photo exchange between us, and that was the last communication with me, or with any of my family or her other friends," Megan told the news channel.

Kingsbury's sister and parents released a statement last week describing the "waking nightmare" they are experiencing since she went missing on March 31.

The father of Kingsbury’s children released a separate statement condemning public speculation that he was involved with the disappearance.

We are continuing to investigate the disappearance of Madeline (Maddi) Kingsbury. She was last seen on March 31. We remain extremely concerned for her safety.
Law enforcement and first responder teams continue to conduct daily targeted searches for Maddi, based on information generated by the investigation and on tips from the public. In the last week, there have been foot, aerial and water searches. We are using all available resources in the search, including sonar, submersibles, and dog teams. We want to thank the many people who have come from near and far to assist us in searching for Maddi.
We continue to reecieve dozens of tips each day and appreciate everyone who has taken the time to share information with us. If you have information that you think culd be valuable, please call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS or online at crimestoppersmn.org.
We are again asking for property owners in Winona, Fillmore, and Houston Counties - please walk your land and check your outbuildings. Look for anything unusual or out-of-place. Even if you have already done this, please do it again. The changing weather conditions might reveal new signs that weren't there before. If you find anything concerning, call your local law enforcement agency.
This investigation is active and ongoing. We are not prepared to identify a suspect or person of interest at this time. We are continuing to follow several paths of inquiring as we work to determine what happened to Maddi, and if warranted, hold accountable the person or persons responsible for her disappearance.
Our thoughts remain with Maddi's friends and family during this difficult time. We are committed to doing everything possible to find her and remain confident we will bring her home.
