Madeline Kingsbury's Former Partner Charged With Murder
Adam Fravel said he and Kingsbury had decided to separate and Kingsbury had begun a new relationship, according to a criminal complaint.

WINONA, MN — Adam Fravel, the former partner of Madeline Kingsbury, was charged with two counts of second-degree murder Friday, KTTC reported. The charges come two days after Kingsbury's remains were found on a remote stretch of road off Highway 43 north of Mabel.
According to a criminal complaint for Fravel obtained by KTTC, a friend of Kingsbury's called police concerned on March 31 after not hearing from Kingsbury all day. When police searched the Winona apartment the couple shared the following day, they found Kingsbury's phone, jacket and purse left behind, the complaint said.
Fravel said that they had recently decided to separate and Kingsbury had been looking for a place to live with their children and had begun a new relationship, according to the complaint.

According to the complaint, when Kingsbury's body was found on June 7, she was wrapped in a fitted sheet similar to other bedding in the couple's home and the bedding was sealed with a roll of black Gorilla tape that was the same color and width as that which was found in the home.
Fravel admitted to investigators he was “infatuated” with the Gabby Petito case and according to a concerned person report shared by officials, had previously told Madeline if she didn’t “listen up” she would end up like Petito, the complaint said.
