Minnesota Manufacturer Closing, Cutting 55 Jobs

PINE ISLAND, MN — Lincoln Industries plans to permanently close its manufacturing facility here, laying off approximately 55 employees, according to a notice filed under the federal Worker Adjustment and Retraining Notification (WARN) Act.

The Minnesota State Rapid Response Team said it received the WARN notice from Lincoln Industries regarding the closure of the company's facility at 67 Fifth St. NE. Layoffs are expected to occur in two phases, with most employees separating on October 29, 2026, and a smaller group remaining on the job through April 1, 2027, to assist with plant shutdown activities.

Employees at the facility are not represented by a union and do not have bumping rights, according to the notice.

Positions affected include lead plater, lead polisher, lead tube bender operator, lead warehouse and fabrication, lead welder, machine operator, machine operator-programmer, maintenance technician, manager of engineering, manufacturing engineer, manufacturing/integration engineer, material handler, plant manager, plater, polisher, process specialists in plating, polishing and tube bending, production planner, production planner and buyer, robotic welder, senior tool maker, team lead, tube bender operator, warehouse coordinator and welder.
