This MN City Ranked Among Best For Gen Z Grads
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for college graduates.
ROCHESTER, MN — Rochester was recently ranked among the nation’s top cities for new college graduates.
Redfin and Glassdoor partnered to rank the best big, medium and small U.S. metro areas for graduates based on 13 indicators across career opportunity, housing affordability and urban quality of life.
The best three big cities were Washington, Omaha and Boston, respectively. New Orleans, Palm Bay and Wichita took the top spots in the mid-size category, while Springfield, Illinois, Santa Fe and Panama City were ranked the best small cities.

Rochester came in 10th on the small-cities list. Average early-career earnings in Rochester come out to $68,496 and the price of a typical starter home is $215,000, according to Redfin.
"Rochester blends a laid-back Midwestern vibe with live music, indie art, local breweries and outdoor trails and farmers markets," according to Redfin. "Its early-career scene is anchored by the Mayo Clinic and a strong healthcare sector, with solid growth in manufacturing, retail and small business."
