MN Woman Sues Dentist Who Treated 28 Teeth At Once: Report
Kathleen Wilson said she has suffered emotional trauma and needed extensive additional dental intervention to re-stabilize her teeth.

EDEN PRAIRIE, MN — A Minneapolis woman is suing an Eden Prairie dentist who she said treated almost all of her teeth in one sitting — using nearly double the maximum dose of anesthesia, according to a StarTribune report.
The woman, Kathleen Wilson, said she suffered emotional trauma and needed extensive additional dental intervention to re-stabilize her teeth as a result of the treatment she received from Dr. Kevin Molldrem of Molldrem Family Dentistry in July 2020.
During that 2020 visit, Wilson received eight dental crowns, four root canals and 20 fillings in five and a half hours, which, according to the civil action, is "impossible to achieve if done properly," the Tribute reported.

In addition, Molldrem falsified medical records so as not to reflect that she had been given an unsafe dosage of anesthesia, according to the Tribune.
Wilson's medical records were reviewed by Dr. Avrum Goldstein, of Naples, Florida, who noted that Molldrem properly diagnosed Wilson's dental issues but did not provide Wilson's disease the "slow, thoughtful, careful and measured response" necessary for proper treatment, the filing said.

Molldrem was served a summons in person at his office on Dec. 20. Wilson is asking for at least $50,000 in damages, according to the Tribune.
Molldrem wrote on his website that he opened Molldrem Family Dentistry in 2004 so that he could "provide the type of dental care for others as I would want for my own family."
