MINNESOTA — It’s National Donut Day on Friday, and several Minnesota restaurants and donut shops are offering a sweet deal or two to lure in donut lovers across the state.
It’s hard to say no. From classic glazed to novelty donuts topped with fruit, frostings, and cereals, the options are endless. It’s even harder when some of your favorite donut shops are offering these tasty treats for free.
Whether you’re swinging through the drive-thru or ordering delivery, Patch scoured the internet and rounded up a few of this year’s best National Donut Day deals, offers, and freebies.

Duck Donuts: Customers can get a free cinnamon sugar donut in-store only on National Donut Day.
Dunkin’: Customers can snag a free classic donut by purchasing any drink.

Taco Bell: Purchase at least $20 worth of Taco Bell from DoorDash, Uber Eats, Postmates or Grubhub on June 2 and you’ll get an order of Cinnabon Delights for free.
Mojo Monkey Donuts: Free Donut Pops, Lemon Lavender Old Fashioned, and Pup Pops will be given to all customers while supplies last. And one lucky person will receive free donuts for a year!
National Donut Day was created by the Salvation Army in 1938 as a way to honor the organization’s “Donut Lassies” who supported troops on the front lines during World War I.
National Donut Day is celebrated annually on the first Friday in June.
