RFK Jr. Picks No. 2 After Considering Aaron Rodgers, Ventura: Report
Robert F. Kennedy Jr. picked his running mate after considering quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura.

Robert F. Kennedy Jr. has reportedly chosen his running mate from a shortlist that included NFL quarterback Aaron Rodgers and former Minnesota governor Jesse Ventura. There were other names on the shortlist, according to the campaign.
Kennedy told ABC News Tuesday that he has selected his No. 2, but declined to announce it yet. He is scheduled to announce his running mate in Oakland, California on March 26th.
Both Ventura and Rodgers have discussed the possibility with Kennedy and "both have welcomed the overtures," according to the New York Times.

However, Ventura's son told ABC News Wednesday that "there has been no formal offer from the Robert Kennedy camp. The Governor does not comment on political speculation."
Kennedy, nephew to President John F. Kennedy, is an environmental lawyer known most for his vaccine skepticism and conspiracy theories. He told the New York Times that he had been speaking with Rodgers — who won a Super Bowl with the Green Bay Packers and now plays for the New York Jets — "pretty continuously" for the past month.

Rodgers shares vaccine skepticism with Kennedy and enjoys stirring up political controversy when not playing football.
Meanwhile, Kennedy has been in touch with Ventura since the former governor introduced him at a campaign event last month in Arizona.
A former professional wrestler, Ventura shocked the political world when he won the race for Minnesota governor as an independent candidate in 1998.
