Sniper Took Out Dog In MN After Anonymous Barking Complaints: Sheriff
Authorities are investigating after a sniper shot and killed a dog that was on a deck outside a residence in Mankato.
MANKATO, MN — Authorities are investigating after a sniper shot and killed a dog that was on a deck outside a residence in Mankato.
On March 30, Blue Earth County deputies were dispatched to the 400 Block of Neubert Lane. Deputies found a medium-sized, mixed-breed, female dog that was deceased and appeared to have been shot.
A neighbor in the area told investigators they heard two gunshots.

Authorities also determined that — two weeks prior — the owners of the dog that was killed and another dog owner in the area found threatening notes on their property, warning them to keep their dogs from barking.
The threatening notes, surveillance footage, and additional evidence have been collected, the sheriff's office said.
