Update: USDA Says No Rural Development Layoffs Planned
State officials reversed an earlier notice about job cuts at three Minnesota offices.
ST. PAUL, MN — Minnesota's State Rapid Response Team (SRRT) now says USDA Rural Development is not facing layoffs, reversing information shared earlier this month.
The SRRT had said USDA Rural Development planned to lay off about seven employees at offices in Faribault, Detroit Lakes and Cambridge around September 30. In a new notice, the agency says that information was incorrect and the Rural Development offices are not impacted by layoffs at this time.
