1 Killed, 1 Injured In Apple Valley Shootout: Police
One person was killed Sunday evening and another was injured in a shootout in Apple Valley on Sunday evening, according to investigators.
APPLE VALLEY, MN — One person was killed Sunday evening and another was injured in an Apple Valley shootout, police said.
Apple Valley police were dispatched to a weapons call in the 900 block of Oriole Drive just before 6:30 p.m. Multiple people were shooting at each other, police were told.
At the scene, officers found two shooting victims outside a home. One was dead, and the other was transported to the hospital with gunshot wounds.

Witnesses said that a vehicle fled the scene before the officers arrived, according to investigators.
"Our department is in the very early stages of this investigation and will work with our law enforcement partners to provide more information as it becomes available," the Apple Valley Police Department said in a statement.
