2 Rosemount School On DOH's Coronavirus Outbreak List

One school was added this week, and the other remains from last week.

ROSEMOUNT, MN— Two Rosemount schools are on the Minnesota Department of Health's COVID-19 breakout list, the department reported Thursday.

Rosemount Senior High School has reported a new outbreak of COVID-19, the department said.

Rosemount Middle School was added to the list last Thursday and remains on the list this week the department said.

In order to be removed from the list, the schools need to go 28 days without reporting a new case, the department said.

In order to be added to the list, a school must report at least five cases of a student or staff member being inside the building while infectious and within the two-week reporting period, the department said.

Five other schools in Dakota County: Apple Valley Senior High School, Red Pine Elementary School, East Lake Elementary School, St. Thomas Academy and Farmington High School, were also on the list, the department said.

The list is updated weekly on Thursdays.
