The 3M Foundation has donated $750 to Kids 'n Kinship, in recognition of Sarah Gerber, Jon Gerber and Lanny Stapp and their commitment to the community.
As volunteer mentors, Sarah and Jon are each matched with a child needing support and guidance. Individuals, couples and families volunteer with Kids 'n Kinship to be a positive role model. Mentors share time and interests such as sports, movies, going to the library and local parks, getting together to play board games and making a meal together. Mentors can also volunteer with their mentee at school. Lanny is on our volunteer board of directors, is responsible for getting our Kids ‘n Kinship newsletter to participants and supporters and has mentored two boys over the last several years.
“3M employees and retirees generously give their time and skills to help others,” said Robin Torgerson, vice-president, 3M Community Affairs. “We are pleased to recognize their commitment to their communities.”
