College Prep Presentation for Sophomores, Juniors

The Rosemount High School Counseling office would like to invite all 10th and 11th grade students and their families to the annual Going to College-The First Steps presentation at 7 p.m. Monday, March 12, in the Performing Arts Center at RHS.

This program begins with a presentation from the counseling staff regarding critical factors in college admissions, important ACT & SAT testing information, along with specifics regarding the next steps sophomores and juniors should be taking.

Following the counselor’s presentation, we will interview a panel of current seniors who are attending a variety of post-secondary institutions next year (elite public universities, small liberal arts colleges, state universities, community colleges, Military Academies, etc). Seniors will reflect on the college admissions process in terms of what they learned, what they did right, what they wish they would have done differently, in addition to other insights about  the process.

We will allow time for questions from the audience in the final portion of the program and this has always proven extremely helpful for attendees in the past.
