Morries Pietz, 78, of Rosemount, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Sept. 1, 2012. Morries is preceded in death by his parents, Reinhold and Magdeline Pietz; two brothers, Milbert and Mervin Pietz and one sister, Viola Scheid. Survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Mavis; daughters, Robin, (Tom) Vorwerk, Brenda (Bill) Berner and Sandra (Joe Klatt) Pietz; granddaughter, Jenna Klatt; brothers, Leroy and Gale Pietz and sister, Shirley (Dean) Tipton; sister-in-law, Sharon Pietz; and other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be 11 a.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, 151 County Road 42, Burnsville, where Morries was very active.Visitation will be from 5 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Sept. 4, also at the church and one hour prior to service. Interment will be in Aberdeen, SD.
