Apple Valley Couple Killed After Crashing Through Ice

Their bodies — and the submerged snowmobile — were found Sunday.

APPLE VALLEY, MN — A married couple from Apple Valley was killed Saturday after their snowmobile went through the ice of a Wisconsin lake. Timothy Joseph Obrien, 57, and Kimberly Ann Obrien, 56, were riding on Webb Lake in Burnett County.

Authorities believe they went through thin ice in the evening.

The two owned a cabin at the lake, KSTP reported.

The Burnett County Sheriff's Office began searching for them after they were reported missing Saturday. Their bodies — and the submerged snowmobile — were found Sunday.

Services for them will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Church of the Risen Savior in Burnsville, according to the Star Tribune. A visitation will be held from 4 to 8 p.m. Friday at White Funeral Home in Apple Valley.
