Apple Valley, Eastview High School Make Newsweek's Top 500
Newsweek ranked Eastview High School at 470 in the nation, while Apple Valley High School was ranked at 446.

Two Apple Valley high schools made Newsweek's 2016 list of top 500 public high schools in the U.S.
Last year, ten Minnesota high schools made Newsweek's top 500, but no Apple Valley schools made the cut.
Newsweek ranked Eastview High School at 470 in the nation, while Apple Valley High School was ranked at 446.

Apple Valley High School Principal Michael Bolsoni told Patch about what the school's teachers and administrators are doing to help their students achieve success.
"Apple Valley High School has a proud legacy of excellence that continues to be part of our school culture," Bolsoni told Patch.

Among the achievements that helped Apple Valley attain its 446 ranking include:
- College Readiness: 73.9
- Graduation Rage: 95.8
- College Bound: 91.6
- Counselor-Student Ratio 1:422
- Student Retention: 0.87
- SAT/ACT Composite Score: 49.9
- Avg. SAT Score: 1844
- Avg. ACT Score: 24
- AP/IB/Dual Enrollment Composite: 65.2
- Avg. AP Score: 72.1
- Dual Enrollment Participation: 9.8
In total, 17 Minnesota high schools made Newsweek’s top 500 this year.
