Apple Valley Kicks Off Annual Tree And Shrub Sale
The city said it wants to encourage natural diversity due to the Emerald Ash Borer and other pests.
APPLE VALLEY, MN— The city of Apple Valley's annual Tree and Shrub Sale is open for residents to purchase native plants to diversify their properties, the city said.
Residents may purchase up to three trees and six shrubs for around $30 to $40, the city said.
Those who choose to purchase plants can pick them up April 24 at Apple Valley's Central Maintenance Facility, the city said.

Unclaimed plants will be donated to local parks, the city said.
