Dakota County Tech College to Offer 'Ding & Dent Day' For Military Families
U.S. Armed Forces veterans and active-duty personnel and their families will get access to some free minor car repairs.

Military families, Veterans and active-duty military personnel will be able to get some free minor body and touch-up work done on their vehicles during a special "Ding & Dent Day" at Dakota County Technical College.
The DCTC Transportation Careers department and DCTC Student Life are hosting the event, which is scheduled for April 21 on the main Rosemount campus of the school.
The free clinic will address the following services and repairs:
- Small or light scratches in the paint
- Scratches in the paint if the customer brings a factory brush touch-up pen
- Buffing cloudy headlights for better visibility during night driving
- Broken door handles inner or outer [Customer supplies part]
- Bad window regulators [Customer supplies part]
- Caved-in plastic bumper covers can be heated and returned to original shape
- Broken headlights or taillights [Customer supplies part]
- Burned-out bulbs for headlight, turn signal or running light [If not a specialty bulb]
- Free donuts and coffee
To reserve an appointment, e-mail Student Life Director Nicole Meulemans at nicole.meulemans@dctc.edu and provide:
- Full name
- Phone number
- Your preferred appointment time: 7 a.m., 8 a.m., 9 a.m., 10 a.m. or 11 a.m.
- Secondary appointment time in case your preferred appointment time is full
- Appointment confirmations along with additional directions and instructions will be e-mailed to the first six cars in each time slot
