Family Aquatic Center: Beat The Heat

It's a hot summer, and there are few better ways to cool down than hopping on a water slide or jumping in a pool.

APPLE VALLEY, MN -- Until Aug. 27, the Apple Valley Family Aquatic Center will be open to help residents cool off in the hot summer.

The Aquatic Center features river tubing, drop slides, a bowl slide and much more. Supervision of children is required, and kids under five must be within arm's reach of a parent or guardian.

Kids above 42-inches tall can ride the body slides and kids above 48-inches tall can ride the tube slides. Kids 12 years old and under must be accompanied by a parent or guardian over 16 years old. No more than three kids under the age of five per parent or guardian.

The park's hours are:

  • Monday to Friday: 11:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
  • Saturday and Sunday: 11:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Fourth of July: 11:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m.

The park's entry fee is $9 per person and $6 per person after 5:00 p.m.

The park is closed when temperatures drop below 65 degrees and during inclement or hazardous weather. There is no alcohol, smoking or gum allowed in the aquatic center.

Glass is prohibited as well, except for prescription glasses.
