FOOTBALL ROUNDUP: Kickers Boot Apple Valley, Eastview to Victories
Rosemount falls to Prior Lake, 17-7.

Kickers proved to be the difference for Apple Valley and Eastview on Friday night.
Paul Chaney’s extra-point kick was the winning margin in Apple Valley’s 28-27 overtime victory over Lakeville South. In Eastview’s 15-12 win over Eagan, Sam Fluegge booted a 23-yard field goal with 4.9 seconds remaining to lift the Lightning.

In the other South Suburban Conference game involving Apple Valley-Rosemount teams Friday night, Rosemount lost to Prior Lake, 17-7.
APPLE VALLEY 28, LAKEVILLE SOUTH 27 (OT)

Dom McDew-Stauffer rushed for 147 yards and three touchdowns, including a two-yard scoring run in the first session of overtime, in the Eagles’ victory.
Apple Valley, 3-1 overall and 3-1 in the SSC, shot out to a 21-0 second-quarter lead before Lakeville South came back. With the scored tied a 21-21 at the end of regulation, Apple Valley had the ball first in overtime. The Eagles scored on McDrew-Stauffer's touchdown run and Chaney's conversion kick.
The Cougars responded with a touchdown of their own. But, their two-point conversion attempt failed, thus ending the game.
Tommy Singer threw for 124 yards for Apple Valley. Dustin Fronk had 54 receiving yards.
Apple Valley will visit Bloomington Kennedy at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.
EASTVIEW 15, EAGAN 12
Eastview took a 12-0 lead into halftime on a pair of touchdown runs by Will Rains. But, Eagan knotted the score on a touchdown run by TJ Sands and scoring pass by Ian Entzion.
Then, on the second-to-last play of the game, Fluegge hit his game-winning field goal. Eagan's attempt to return the kickoff for a touchdown on the final play failed.
Eastview, 2-2 overall and 2-1 in the SSC, will play host to Bloomington Jefferson at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.
PRIOR LAKE 17, ROSEMOUNT 7
Prior Lake broke open a tight game with a third-quarter touchdown run to defeat the Irish.
Rosemount, which trailed by a 10-7 score at halftime, was led by Ali Al-Khatib, with 47 yards rushing and his team’s only touchdown. Sean Kalinowski threw for 157 yards and Dimitri Williams caught four passes for 52 yards.
Rosemount, 1-3 overall and 1-2 in the SSC, will visit Eagan at 7 p.m. Sept. 28.
