Glacier Hills Magnet Coordinator Named New Westview Elementary Principal
Glacier Hills Elementary School of Arts and Sciences Magnet School coordinator Tami Staloch-Schultz has been named Westview Elementary School's next principal.

The new principal at Apple Valley's already is a familiar face in the Rosemount-Apple Valley-Eagan school district.
Glacier Hills Elementary School of Arts and Sciences Magnet School coordinator Tami Staloch-Schultz will succeed Karen Toomey as Westview principal, according to a news release from the district. Toomey at the end of the 2010-11 school year after 16 years as the school's principal and 20 years in the district.
Staloch-Schultz began her career in District 196 as a classroom teacher at Northview Elementary School in Eagan in 1987. She moved to Pinewood Community Elementary as a teacher and instructional assistant and went to Glacier Hills in 2002, the release says, where in 2006 she became the magnet coordinator for the school.

Superintendent Jane Berenz said in the release that Staloch-Schultz “has proven to have the skills, dedication and commitment to the learning process that are needed to effectively lead a school."
Seven people initially applied for the position, according to the release.
