Here's Why Rosemount Police Calls Are Up In 2017
In 2017 alone, the Rosemount Police Department has handled 8,632 calls, which is 382 more calls than at this point in 2016.

ROSEMOUNT, MN — Over the past week, Rosemount police officers responded to 239 calls for service. In 2017 alone, the Rosemount Police Department has handled 8,632 calls, which is 382 more calls than at this point in 2016. Police noted the following:
- Officers stopped a vehicle and seized over $2,400 in cash related to a large amount of marijuana in the vehicle. The marijuana seized held a street of value of approximately $5,800.
- In other drug related calls for service, Officers seized controlled substances (i.e. prescription pills, methamphetamine, etc.) and cash related these drugs. These drugs held a street value of over $3,000.
- Six individuals were arrested on a warrants varying from misdemeanor to felony.
- While responding to a domestic, an Officer was assaulted while attempting to resolve the situation. As a result, a male was arrested; the officer did not sustain any significant injuries.
