It’s my 2nd chance! We were at James Taylor’s Cleveland performance in July. In February, I wrote James a letter asking permission to propose to her onstage there. I never heard anything back. Now, he’s playing in Minneapolis on November 2nd. Help me propose in way that she’ll remember forever.

Here’s what I wrote in my card in February:
James,
I believe in asking for what you want out of life. I find that the Universe is usually generous if you do. I want to propose to my girlfriend, Michelle, at your July concert in Cleveland. Michelle is a long-time fan of yours and we will be flying in to see your show. I’ve known Michelle for 7 years and during that time, your music has come to represent her for me; the smile it puts on her face, the presence it weaves into a moment, the freedom it unleashes in her spirit. It makes me smile and gives me another chance to fall in love with her. I don’t want to miss out on this opportunity to acknowledge that I understand the gift she will be giving me by sharing herself with me. I also want to propose to her in a way that says, “I care about what you love so I CHOSE this time and place.” and, “I want the world to know that I love you and want to be with you forever.” Last year, Minnesota approved same sex marriage and I’m so excited to marry this woman.
