Man Attempts To Lure 16-Year-Old Girl In Apple Valley: Police

A 16-year-old girl told police that a man tried to lure her into his vehicle while she was walking in Apple Valley.

Apple Valley police are investigating a suspicious incident involving a man who allegedly tried to lure a 16-year-old girl into his car.

On Friday, March 10 at about 3:50 p.m., the 16-year-old told was walking her dog by Upper 147th Street and Pilot Knob Road when a man began to drive slowly near her, according to the Apple Valley Police.

According to KMSP, the girl told police the man repeatedly pulled into driveways on the road she was walking on said things like, "You can hop in the car", "I like your shoes", and "What's your dog's name?"

The girl said she tried to ignore him before running home by through lawns, making it hard for the man to follow her.

She said the black car following her looked like an old taxi vehicle. It had a silver grill, tinted windows and had marks from removed decals.
