Memorial Day 2017: Apple Valley Service
On Monday, American Legion Post 1776 will host a ceremony to mark Memorial Day in Apple Valley.
APPLE VALLEY, MN — Memorial Day is a national holiday, set aside so Americans can honor servicemen and women who gave their lives for their country. On Monday, American Legion Post 1776, 14521 Granada Drive, will host a ceremony to mark the day. The guest speaker will be retired U.S. Air Force Col. James W. Goodman, the Pioneer Press reported. Goodman flew 190 combat missions in Southeast Asia. The Scott Highlands Middle School Band and the Velvet Tones will also participate in the event.
