Minnesota Zoo Offers Virtual Summer Camps

The zoo is unsure whether on-site activities will be permitted for the camps this summer.

APPLE VALLEY, MN— The Minnesota Zoo will be offering virtual camps for kids in Pre-K through Grade 6 for this upcoming summer, the zoo said.

The virtual summer camps will last a week with different times scheduled for each age range, the zoo said.

The camps will be a mix of at-home activities such as activity packets and arts and crafts, as well as live interactions with animals via Zoom, the zoo said.

The zoo said that due to the pandemic, it is unsure whether or not they will have on-site activities.

"Additional in-person activities and events will continue to be evaluated as summer approaches," the zoo said. "Any additions or changes will be communicated via email and priority will be given to those enrolled in our virtual programming."

Prices range from $100 for members and $120 for non members.
